Star Wars Orange Chocolate Cremes

 Star Wars Chocolates

Mmm, handmade Star Wars chocolates. Make yours with solid chocolate or fill it with melt-in-your mouth creme like I did with my Millennium Falcons.

You’ll need lots of Chocolate and a love of all things Star Wars.

If you are on my site, then you are undoubtedly a Chocoholic.  I have a block of this chocolate from Blommer’s that I store in a cool dry place so I don’t ever run out in the middle of a project.

Go here to see this HUGE block from Blommers Chocolate Company

**READ: I use molds.

That’s what makes it fun and easy.  Go here and get yourself these Star Wars must-haves.

You could also make the chocolate in these forms:

  • White chocolate
  • Milk chocolate
  • Dark chocolate
  • Mint chocolate
  • Peanut butter chocolate

The CREME is made with:

Powdered Sugar

Condensed Milk

Orange Essential Oil

But you could also fill with:

  • Nutella
  • Caramel
  • Peanut Butter
  • Marshmallow Cream
  • Peppermint Cream
  • Fudge (more chocolate is always okay)

To fill a dozen chocolates, use 2 cups of powdered sugar, then mix in two tablespoons of Condensed Milk, keep adding in by the spoonful until you have the consistency that you want.  Less is more when dealing with the liquid part of a powdered sugar recipe.

If you’re planning on your next part being a Star Wars theme, then you might want to add these to your list of desserts to serve.  Or better yet, create a DIY station where your guests can make their own a set of edible Star Wars icons to eat.  You’ll receive all the credit and no work is involved.

P.S.  Oils make my life easier in every way, whether it be olive oil or peppermint essential oil (great for keeping the ants away in the Summer AND for making Peppermint Patties) – if you want your kit of oils sent to you every month.  Check out my page on oils here

P.P.S. My friends have some yummy orange recipes here

Not all essential oils are edible. Due to lack of purity, 98% of essential oils sold should NOT be ingested. An edible essential oil will be labeled “therapeutic-grade” and have a “Supplement Facts” box on the label showing the nutritional value – do NOT use just any brand of essential oil for cooking/flavoring foods. Be sure to use pure oils from reliable sources, not synthetic scents or flavorings.

5 Chocolate Bar Companies whose Wrappers Make Fabulous Accessories

Move over Starbucks Latte cups . . . there’s a new accessory in town . . . Chocolate Bars!

Chanel, Michael Kors, Kate Spade have nothing on these stunning chocolate bar wrappers.  Bonus: they are pretty eco friendly and a fraction of the cost of a Chanel bag.  The English, French, and even Americans have you covered when you want one of these fashion savvy delicious bars.

Its just a matter of time before we see celebrities like Nicole Richie to Reese Witherspoon to Kyle Richards toting around these gorgeous bars.  And if its not in their hands soon, then it will  probably be flying off the shelves at one of their chic boutiques in Beverly Hills or online at Reese’s Draper James shop.

Here are my picks for some of the most beautifully wrapped chocolate bars (and what celebrity would be matched up with it):

#1 Prestat Chocolate

Holy fabulousness.  This brand is all about the color blocking which has Katy Perry’s name all over it.   Fashion Week would be so proud of the graphic designers behind Prestat Chocolates.

#2 Baru Chocolates

Too cute and on fleek for words.  Hmmm . . . is that how you spell on fleek?  I see this Belgian Chocolate in the hands of Maddie Ziegler (of Dance Moms fame) and crew of course!

#3 Mast Brothers

These Brooklyn-based brothers must have a designer on hand who is channeling Kylie Jenner.  Mast Brothers designs are so unique and cutting edge like the youngest Kardashian herself.

#4 OmNom Chocolate

Iceland dances to the beat of a different drum. Imagine Lady Gaga carrying this bar or in true Gaga style she might create an entire dress out of these chocolate bar wrappers (which would be far better than the bacon dress she wore).

#5 Rococo Chocolates

Stunning and sweet chocolate bar wrappers which are perfect for the Reese Witherspoon kind of girl. Sweet designs + truly artful on wrapped in one.  Yep, that’s our Reese.

This Candy Will Help You Get Over Your Ex (hint: Champagne Gummy Bears)

If you still need convincing, take the advice of my new favorite candy company, Sugarfina, and its Breakup Gift Set. These yummy candies are the ultimate advice givers, with themes like “Men are pigs” and “Plenty of fish in the sea.”  Maybe not all men are pigs but your best girlfriend who went through a breakup is sure to appreciate this kind of sweet treat from you.  Aside from these supportive words of wisdom, these little gift sets offer the ultimate heart healer: Sugar.  Sugar does heal all (or maybe its wine).

This shop was created by a husband and wife team in California, Rosie & Josh and Josh  O’Neill live a very sweet life…literally.  The company started in a slightly whimsical way when Rosie and Josh, went to see Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on their third date. Thus began the brainstorming – where were candy stores for adults? Fast forward to 2012 when the duo created and developed Sugarfina, together. The business boasts an impressive online presence, a new storefront in Beverly Hills, and another brick and mortar is on the way in Los Angeles.

All of the packaging is so pretty, the sweets are imported form all over the world and I’m now “qualified” to report that the candy is DELICIOUS! It definitely lives up to it’s good looks. I tried a box of peanut butter caramels, English toffee caramels, and a little sample of the champagne bears. All I can say is, I’m now  hoping that they will open Dallas boutique so I can get my Sugarfina fix on a regular basis!

On top of all the attention to detail, every order comes with an adorable handwritten note.  Imagine a handwritten note with your champagne gummy bears?!?!?  #icanteven
