4. (Optional) Robin’s Eggs to place inside the nest
First, we need to make the solution.
In a pan or bowl, add 1 cup of sugar and then mix in 2 cups of hot water. Give this a stir and place in your freezer for 1 hour.
You are now almost done!
Next, melt your chocolate.
Pull your water mixture out of the freezer, it should be almost slushy.
Place a fork in your bowl of melted chocolate then drizzle left and right, up and down to make a small piece of lattice work.
**Important** Take a separate fork and lift this lattice work out of the water and place gently on a plate. Do NOT use the fork with water to in the melted chocolate or it would change it.
Keep building upon the nest until you have the desired size.
Then grab a spoon and add a dollop of chocolate on the very top.
This is the “glue” to add your birds eggs, chocolate yummies, Robin’s eggs to it.
This is a quick and easy Easter recipe to enjoy with the kiddos.
Just have the sugar/water mix prepped ahead of time and you are ready to go!
